Starry Night

I was recently invited to be a part of a theme inspired photoshoot! Our inspiration for this wedding was the Van Gogh painting Starry Night. I was asked to do the paper designs with this inspiration in mind. I was immediately inspired by the swirled designs in the painting, and decided it was time to try something I've been wanting to do for a long time... paper quilling! It was so much fun creating these 3 dimensional swirls on the paper! I loved how they turned out. I also used the names of Van Gogh's family and close friends (including the Dr. who worked on his ear) in the place cards. And I used a French inspired menu. It was so fun to see how it all came together! And to top it all off... Junebug Weddings chose to feature and publish our work in their wedding blog. Check it out! It was a pleasure to work with so many talented people!

Fogarty Winery Showcase

I had the privelege of participating in the Thomas Fogarty Winery preferred vendor showcase last week! Thanks to Janae Shield's Photography I have some beautiful pictures to share! The gorgeous florals are by Amy Burke Designs, and rentals by Hartmann Studios. Other great vendors included Janece Shelloe of Every Elegant Detail, and Beth Anne Goldberg of Studio Cake. I had so much fun working with the other vendors, and creating paper designs that showed several different styles and price ranges. One our our goals was to create 3 different table designs that would give ideas for every budget.

Table 3 was our standard table- from florals, to rentals, to paper designs... this table was priced affordably for almost any bride!

Table 2 was contemporary and modern with clean lines. The pricing was a bit higher with some really unique touches! This table was fun for all of us!

Table 1 was the crème de la crème of table designs! This table was the highest priced table, but with the gorgeous linens and stunning floral, it was a site to behold...

Save The Dates- damask design

I have the pleasure of working with a new bride named Amy. I am so excited to be helping her with her paper designs, start to finish! We just finished her save the dates, we will do her invitations in the spring, and finally we will work on her reception cards before the wedding. Amy is the sweetest bride, and she has wonderful taste! She wanted to go with a contemporary but elegant look. She has decided to use a damask design for her wedding, so I am working on using that in her paper designs as well. Her Save The Dates were printed on a beautiful shimmer paper, and were complemented beautifully by these lined envelopes. I am so excited to see how her invitations come out!

Another Pryde wedding

I just had the privilege of doing paper designs for the sister of a bride I worked with over a year ago! Her name is Anna, and she was a joy to work with! She was torn between a simple stripe design and a floral design, so I incorporated the two. Again we used diffrent placecard colors to designate the guest's entree choices. Her wedding took place outdoors and her planner, Janece Shellooe of Every Elegant Detail did a wonderful job of displaying the escort cards so that the wind wouldn't blow them away!

Audrey and James

Audrey and James had a beautiful ceremony this past Sunday at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA. It was a pleasure working with them to provide a design that was fitting for their sophisticated tastes! Janece Shellooe of Every Elegant Detail did a beautiful job organizing the event!

We ended up using 4 different escort card designs to designate the guest's different entree choices.

We went with this folded program which was very simple and elegant in design. I loved that they wanted to include a tribute to Buck, their dog/ring-bearer, on the back of the program!

Nancy Liu Chin did a beautiful job with the floral designs! Here is one of her centerpieces with my table number card. Audrey and James wanted a note under their table numbers that explained that they were donating to a local charity in lieu of providing favors. I thought that was a really neat idea!

The menu was very classic and fun to put together. The catering by Thomas John Events made for a detailed menu with lovely entree descriptions. There were also several food stations (see the amazing seafood display on ice in the top photo) for the guests to enjoy!
